
2025 WP Swim Instruction Policy
FAMILY PAYING SWIM INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be a member of WP Pool AND pay a guest fee for non-member instructor/attendees for each lesson
- Before First Lesson: Confirm all Member/Instructor/Nonmember signed and submitted a Hold Harmless waiver for WP Pool, WP HOA and Coastal Pool Management- Find on website- www.wilmingtonpark.org
- Sign in and advise Lifeguard for each Lesson
- Ensure guest fee is paid for all nonmembers- name each in guest fee submittal
- Be sure all nonmembers agree to all WP Pool Rules
- Instruct nonmembers must leave once lesson is over
- Agree to do own background check on any instructor hired by member
- Be sure instructor has successfully registered with WPHA before first lesson: Submit ticket to confirm or email [email protected]
ALL SWIM INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Register for account on www.wilmingtonpark.org
- Complete & Submit Application for Pool Usage for Commercial Purposes to Longshore Management on website ticket system: www.wilmingtonpark.org
- Proof of Liability Insurance submitted to Longshore Management via ticket system
- Submit to Background check (at own expense up to $100)
- Instructor/nonmember/member must sign and submit a Hold Harmless waiver for WP Pool, WP HOA and Coastal Pool Management- Find on website- www.wilmingtonpark.org
- Days/hours lessons are allowed to be conducted (Monday-Thursday) No lessons on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Federal Holiday
- Record each lesson on ticket system or email [email protected]
- Be a Member of WP Pool or pay guest fee (on website) for each visit
- If Not a Member of WP Pool, family hiring you must be a member of WP Pool, and provide proof of membership
- Instructor and students should sign in and check in with lifeguards for each visit
